The 10.8 Litre PACCAR MX-11 engine uses state of the art technologies, first class materials, extensive function integration and a heavy duty foamed
wire loom to achieve highest reliability and durability. Excellent torque at low engine speeds and a high performance is available over a wide rev. range.
 
Aspired by double overhead cam system, the further optimized combustion process using smart dosing controls and modulating fuel line pressure assures excellent and lowest fuel consumption ever. Maintenance cost have been cut by extending the interval up to 150.000km.
 
In order to meet the stringent Euro 6 emission levels it features exhaust gas recirculation, SCR and an active soot filter. Depending on conditions a high efficiency mode is being set. The best engine has become even better.

PACCAR MX-13 engine

Thanks to ultramodern and thoroughly proven technologies, such as common rail injection, a variable geometry turbocharger, exhaust gas recirculation and ingenious exhaust aftertreatment, the PACCAR MX-13 engine meets the stringent Euro 6 emission requirements.

At the same time, the six-cylinder PACCAR MX-13 engine is synonymous with maximum efficiency, high performance and low operating costs.

PACCAR MX and PR engine

For countries where no Euro 6 legislation applies, the 9.2 litre PACCAR PR engine is an attractive alternative. The PR six-cylinder in-line engine is available with 249 hp, 310 hp and 360 hp. A number of technologies of the PACCAR PR engine also apply to the PACCAR MX series, such as the SMART injection system and SCR catalyst technology. These power units effortlessly meet Euro 4 and 5 even without a particulates filter. The MX six-cylinder in-line engine is available with 360 hp, 408 hp, 462 hp and 510 hp.

PACCAR MX Euro 5 engine

PACCAR MX Euro 5 engine The 12,9 litre PACCAR MX engine is available in 360, 410, 460 and 510 hp versions with high torques ranging from 1,775 up to 2,500 Nm.

The MX engine is available in Euro 3, 4, 5 and EEV versions. 

The Euro 4, 5 and EEV variants use the SMART injection system and SCR technology. The MX 300 and MX 340 even meet the EEV standard without the need of a soot filter.

The engine design results in increased service intervals to 90,000 km, depending on application/usage. With synthetic oil and centrifugal filter, intervals of up to 150,000 km can be achieved, resulting in lower operating costs and maximum vehicle availability.

The 9.2 liter PACCAR PR engine delivers a maximum power of 249, 310 or 360 hp.

The PR engine is available in Euro 3, 4 and 5 emission versions. These Euro 4 and 5 engines use the SMART injection system and the SCR technology. Equipped with a soot filter, the PR engine even complies with EEV. 

Optimization of the combustion process and components leads to service intervals of 75,000 km, depending on the application. For long distance applications and when using synthetic oil and a centrifugal filter, service intervals of up to 100,000 km are available.

Rear axle designs have been further developed and fast reductions of down to 2.05:1 can be specified for driving with low rpm at cruising speed. The new generation of rear axle differentials features a completely new design of crown wheel and pinion, aimed at highest durability and efficiency as well as extremely low noise levels. 

Application of low viscosity oils and low friction wheel end bearings also enhance fuel efficiency.
Lower oil levels in the rear axle further reduce the already best in class axle weight to only 645kg.
